The Angaza Resource Centre registering steadfast progress

The first term at the Angaza Resource Centre ended successfully. We forged new partnerships with two schools, Hope Shamma and Valerian Primary Schools.

Every week of the term, the Angaza Resource Centre hosted 214 children for ICT and literacy sessions. 6 teachers received ICT training.

We registered an improved proficiency in computer skills including the use of Microsoft office and computer basics such as typing and starting a computer. However, we are still facing challenges of inadequate computers. If you have access to these, whether new or used, please consider donating to the Resource Centre.

Additionally, we hosted Eric Kilama and Ojera Angel Vicky from Read for Life, once again. They conducted monitoring and evaluation visits to follow up on the implementation of lessons learnt during the phonics training held early this year. We are happy to share that the skills gained from the training have been instrumental in guiding reading lessons in different classes.

We are hosting teens from Kibuli and the surrounding communities for the next two weeks for a holiday programme that will focus on basic ICT skills alongside literacy.
