40 Days Over 40 Smiles Foundation (4040), in partnership with Endiro Coffee, is set to host another edition of Thankful Thursday, a game night taking place on Thursday, 30 July 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Endiro Coffee, Nakasero.
Held under the theme “Being Thankful for the People Who Show Up for Us,” this edition aims to bring people together to celebrate and appreciate the friends, family members, mentors, colleagues, and communities whose support continues to make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.
For many people, showing up does not always mean grand gestures. Sometimes, it is the friend who checks in, the mentor who offers guidance, the colleague who provides encouragement, or the family member who remains present through different seasons of life. Thankful Thursday is designed to celebrate these often-unrecognised acts of care and support.
The evening will bring together different people for an evening of board games, quizzes, karaoke, storytelling, and meaningful conversations. Beyond entertainment, the event seeks to create opportunities for people to reconnect, build new friendships, and intentionally express appreciation for those who have positively impacted their lives.
Turning Gratitude into Impact
The event, which also doubles as a fundraiser, will contribute to expanding learning opportunities for children in underserved communities.
Through the continued partnership between 4040 and Endiro Coffee, 10% of all sales made during the event will support the Angaza Mobile Library, an initiative focused on bringing books, reading materials, and learning resources closer to children.
This means every coffee, meal, and purchase made during the evening will contribute towards improving access to learning materials and supporting literacy among children.
For 4040, the partnership reflects the belief that community experiences can go beyond creating memorable moments, they can also create meaningful change.

The Forty Days Over Forty Smiles Foundation (4040) is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation committed to improving access to literacy and learning resources for vulnerable children and underserved communities.
Since its establishment in 2012, 4040 has implemented various interventions aimed at increasing school enrolment, improving retention, and supporting access to quality learning opportunities, reaching and impacting more than 3,000 children.
