On 1st July 2023, we launched the Angaza Resource Centre in Kibuli to bridge educational gaps in the area, particularly for underserved schools which lack facilities such as computer labs, libraries and other resources that support and promote quality learning.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the first anniversary of the Centre as a much needed safe space that has availed resources and training for children and teachers.
Here are some numbers:
Every week, 214 children utilise the Centre.
10 teachers have received basic computer literacy training.
We have hosted three teacher trainings in phonics, Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) and resource making for 35 teachers. The ARC has also conducted two holiday programmes for youth in the Kibuli area.
All the above efforts have improved learning outcomes for children and diversified the methods of session delivery by teachers in the classroom.
On 2nd June 2024, we hosted some of our partners at Endiro Coffee, Nakasero to share updates, celebrate milestones and discuss the future.
These special guests included individuals who make monthly donations, companies which support 4040 in kind and our long term supporters.
Our partners shared feedback that we are implementing to improve our programmes and operations.
Our next engagement will bring our Programme partners in one room as we evaluate progress and make strategic plans.

On 28th June 2024, we hosted individuals from different professions including doctors, engineers, teachers, lawyers and architects to share about their careers and inspire the children.
It was exciting for the children to interact with the people they dream of becoming in future.
Their questions were well thought through, with memorable engagement during the sessions.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our support system for showing up and leaving the learners inspired.
Our partner, Boundless Minds provided 5 placements for our volunteers to receive work readiness skills, one on one mentorship, gain technical skills and get connected to professional networks.
We are grateful for the opportunity and excited for the volunteers’ growth.
Speaking of our volunteers, we are delighted to celebrate Katumba Ali from the Angaza Resource Centre Department and Jonathan Mutungi from the Angaza Outreach Programme as our volunteers of the month.

#4040Night
We are excited to reunite with you once again at #4040Night. The event will be held on the 26th of July 2024 under the theme “Ubreakable spirit. Unstoppable game”
This time round, there is prize money to be won!
Participation for quiz teams is Ugx 300,000 with a maximum of 15 players.
The top team will win a grand prize of Ugx 1,000,000, first runner up will get Ugx 700,000 and the second runner up will receive Ugx 400,000.
Only teams which register prior to the event will be eligible for the prizes. Deadline for team registration is 19th July 2024
