Angaza Resource Centre

A child-friendly centre for learning, creativity, and community growth

The Angaza Resource Centre is a safe, resource-rich space that supports learning both in and beyond the classroom, particularly for underserved communities, all at no cost.

Based in the Kibuli-Kabalagala community, ARC currently serves four partner primary schools, welcoming up to 220 children every week for structured lessons in literacy and ICT. The Centre complements formal education by strengthening foundational reading skills, supporting school retention, and introducing learners to essential digital competencies.

Beyond learners, ARC invests in educators and youth development. The Centre has conducted phonics-based literacy training for over 50 teachers from its partner schools, strengthening classroom instruction and long-term learning outcomes. During school holidays, ARC hosts youth programmes that combine ICT training and life skills, ensuring continued learning, creativity, and personal development outside the school term.

Through community partnerships, targeted programming, and a strong focus on literacy and digital inclusion, the Angaza Resource Centre plays a critical role in expanding educational opportunity and strengthening learning ecosystems for children and youth in its community.
