Thank you for attending #4040Night

It was a pleasure to host you at #4040Night on 5th October at the Tales Lounge, Bukoto.

We had so much fun playing and dancing with over 230 of you. Once again, we created memories we will forever cherish.

Thank you for coming in person, inviting your people, donating and being present while you were there. It makes a huge difference.

Congratulations to all the teams that participated in the Quiz, especially Team Rangers, the overall winner who walked away with a grand prize of Ugx 1,000,000; Amazon Pirates and Crixus who were the first and second runners-up, and received Ugx 700,000 and 400,000 respectively.

Special thanks to our partners Agandy Studios, House of Penda, Capital FM, Bag Booth, the Phoenix Project, R.A Fruitery, 180 Glow, Kentaro Organics, D&J Audio, Playhouse 256 and Gudula games for dedicating their resources to the event. We couldn’t do it without you!

We also appreciate Allan Creed, our awesome MC and Don the Quiz Master for spicing up the event.

We raised Ugx 6,656,700 from the event. Even though we were unable to raise money for the Angaza Resource Centre, we are happy that you showed up for us and continue to do so.

That time with you is worth more than words.

The Angaza Outreach Programme

It has been 4 weeks since we resumed activities of the programme at Merowa and Quentin Junior Schools in Kibuli. Our activities this term hinge on building cognitive skills for the children. Classrooms have been buzzing with excitement during quizzes, spelling bees, and puzzles, among others and we love to see it.

The Angaza Resource Centre (ARC)

The Angaza Resource Centre (ARC) has kept up its steady momentum, focusing on its mission to provide quality educational resources and supportive learning environments for children in Kibuli and beyond.

Our facilitators have continued their work in literacy, numeracy, and ICT, to reinforce foundational skills and encourage curiosity among the learners.

The ICT lab, though stretched with limited equipment, has been a hive of hands-on learning, as learners gain practical skills in technology—an area many of them are engaging with for the very first time.

Our volunteers have been winning!

Our volunteers shone extra bright in October and we couldn’t wait to tell you about it. The list is long but we will applaud each of them, one by one.

Barbra Mercy Leni won the Young Photographer Award from the Uganda Press Photo Awards; Maxwell Akandwanaho completed his training in civic leadership and graduated from the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI); Marvin Twiinawe graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Uganda Christian University and Erika Nyakato will join the Refactory team as their new Communications Officer this month.

We are sooooooo proud of all of you!

Boundless Corps
The wins continue.

Hearty congratulations to Rachael Nabweteme, Hatima Namakula and Barbra Mercy Leni; our volunteers who recently graduated from Boundless Corps.

During the four-month programme by Boundless Minds Uganda, they received work readiness skills, were connected to professionals for mentorship, and have built invaluable networks as a result.

Boundless Minds offered this service to our outstanding volunteers and we are eternally grateful to them. Their professional and personal growth got a huge boost from the lessons learnt.

Boundless Minds will run activities for P.7, S.4 and S.6 vacists this season. If you are looking for activities to engage your child while they learn a skill during the long holiday, call Boundless on 0774107784 and sign them up.
